I have both and like my T42 for its slimness and light weight. The LCD seems easier on the eye too – more yellow on the T42. Both SXGA. But the USB was slow, my iPod and other USB accessories aren’t recognized more often than they are, and it was getting a bit slow.Oh well, I got the last of the perfect 3:4 14″ form factor in my T61 and will hold on to it for 5 years.
He speaks english fluently and obviously its a second language for him BUT he speaks it well. So, shut up you dumb little kids. You “mine as well” not speak at all considering you shred the enlish language and no one can understand you.
Been using Company provided Lenovo T61 since Oct ‘07 downgraded by Co. to Win XP SP2 from OEM Vista. Immediately had blue screen errors. Kept updated always. Fan very noisy. It finally failed 7 weeks ago. Trawled forums to find many other Lenovo T61 users having same complaint. Anyone here also have fan failure after long noisy operation?

i luv em i had T20’s T40’s T60’s n ther all fantastic my T60 is slitly better thn this 1 tho mine sez thinpad Tseries on the bottom this sez ibm thnk pad it looks alot better coz its in silver n black compared to the red green blue . n the only reason y i always had thinkpads is coz my dad works for em, other wise i wub probly hav had another make

My does not hold the battery. I mean it works only if I plug in the power cable, the battery not charge.
